Rationale

Bloom’s 2 Sigma Problem is an educational phenomenon that states students who are tutored one-on-one, using mastery learning techniques, perform two standard deviations (2 sigma) better than students taught in a classroom setting. Our pedagogical framework addresses Bloom’s 2 Sigma problem by combining independent learning (enabling students learn at their own pace), a tailored, one-on-one supplementary learning experience through Ara, our AI Coach, and creating a space for reinforcing students’ knowledge through the facilitated discussions / group activities.

We recognize there are a variety of solutions for student enablement in the post-secondary success space; however, few approach their curriculum as holistically as we do, and even fewer (if any) leverage AI as a supplementary learning experience.
